Threads of Time/Bulungkol Lake

As I create, I embrace and celebrate the ancient heritage and language of cloth and the material culture that textiles inherently express. I’m making my work in a particular time and culture, but referencing concepts, techniques and materials that move across time and space.” Bulungkol Lake is located along the present-day Karakorum Highway, which follows a portion of the storied Silk Road trade route. Ruins of ancient caravansaries were visible from the highway, reminding Cameron of the long history of this route.
