Maddie Tsurusaki, Tucson Handweavers Guild, Tucson, Arizona

Cameron taught two classes here in Tucson: Fiber Trails and Ready, Sett, Go! Every participant reviewed her positively for her knowledge base, her relaxed and personable teaching style, and the content of her workshops. As the workshop chair, I can further commend her for consistent and prompt communication, clearly stated room requirements, and openness to working with students directly. It's a joy to plan and execute events with her. THSG would be happy to have her come back and share her knowledge and passion with us.

I have a unique perspective on working with Cameron - as the program chair for the Surface Art Association here in Los Angeles, I not only booked Cameron's program Fiber Trails, but I also participated in the workshop. Cameron has a strong professional approach to planning her programs and making all of the arrangements could not have gone more smoothly. All of our members thoroughly enjoyed her photo presentation of her world journeys and how she translated those experiences into her personal artwork. It is not easy finding programs for artists with deep backgrounds, but I have to say we all, myself included, learned something new from Cameron's accompanying workshop. A definite "Highly Recommended" program.

Stephanie Steinhaus, Unwind in Burbank, CA

Cameron's workshop was among the very best classes we've offered at Unwind. Interactive, hands-on, and always engaging, the students were clamoring for more. Cameron's breadth of knowledge on fiber and color and their interplay carried the students and turned them into confident colorists before my eyes. Best of all for the shop owner, Cameron is a pleasure to work with. She understands the needs of the small yarn shop owner and presented a workshop that was transformational for the students. Book her!

Cameron's workshop helped me internalize an understanding of color and develop my perception and color sense. I finally "got it" in terms of seeing value and intensity. This workshop was organized, fun, and very helpful. Thank you, Cameron!

Stephanie Steinhaus, Los Angeles

On a recent visit to the Branch Gallery in Inglewood, I came across Cameron's work. The show was made up of a few dozen pieces, mainly mixed media featuring weaving, photography, fabric. It was so beautiful; I really was momentarily breathless. The interplay among the sheer fabric and photos and weaving was compelling. It was a reminder that even moments that you capture on film are fleeting and delicate and sheer and open to interpretation and so each of us should hold onto moments that matter and tell the stories that we recall from them. Just wow.

Thank you Cameron for a wonderful and informative workshop. I learned more about weave structures and how they work in the 3 days you taught than I have in my whole 2 semesters at school.....very enlightening. And I LOVE the supplementary warp loops. : :)

Cameron Taylor-Brown has my highest praise for her workshops in teaching color. She makes the theory accessible and workable. She takes time with every student, working with them wherever they are and considering each person's goals.

I just spent five wonderful days playing with Color at Cameron's Colorplay Workshop at Harrisville Designs in NH. I loved that the class was a well balanced combination of the academic and hands-on by experimenting with color combinations. I left the workshop with a much better understanding of how and why certain colors play better together and will be sure to carry this knowledge onto my design work. I highly recommend this terrific workshop!

I just completed Cameron's 5 day Color Workshop at Harrisville Designs in Harrisville, NH. It was phenomenal. I work with color everyday and I have always had an intuitive reaction as to what colors go together and what colors do not. After taking Cameron's class I now know why; it has to do with a combination of hue, value or intensity. What I like about the class is that Cameron deconstructed color for us down to its bare minimum and then built it back up. It added for me the "academic" piece that I did not know I was missing. I now feel more confident that when I design a weaving or a knitted piece, I can gather the colors that I think will work, but then I can double check them against what I now know about color. It is kind of like when you are proof reading a letter and you start from the last sentence and read up to the first sentence to insure you have everything punctuated and spelled correctly. I now know why colors tend to pop in a piece. After Cameron's class I feel confident that I have the tools which will enable me to make better color choices in the future. My eyes are now open to all the colors surrounding me! Thanks Cameron!

Cameron's aesthetic sensibility is finely honed, and she makes her understanding of the artistic process accessible and very user-friendly. I am looking forward to working with her in future classes.

Cameron gave me vocabulary. What a gift. Now I can say what I like and have a better idea of how to fix what I don't like.
From the organizer's perspective, I am grateful to Cameron for her organization, thoroughness, thoughtfulness, and above all, for being her truly gracious self. We look forward to her return visit to Northern California. Thanks, Cameron!!! for a great workshop!

I signed up for Cameron's workshop at the Midwest Weavers' Conference seeking inspiration from nature and from a top-tier fiber artist. I found both. In addition to inspiration, I also gained deeper understanding of color theory and learned technical skills for incorporating supplementary yarns into my weaving. Thank you Cameron, for a wonderful three days!

Jo Skinner, Workshop Chair, GVWSG, Vancouver BC Canada

Thank you, Cameron, for coming to our Guild's 75th Anniversary Symposium and teaching us about how colour and weave structures speak to each other. Thanks for your wonderful teaching, your exuberant personality, your generosity of knowledge and your skill at making everyone feel accomplished. And thanks for bringing all the yummy yarns!

June Lister, Fallbrook, California

Thank you Cameron for a wonderful colour workshop last weekend. I learned so much about colour values and have been planning and weaving all weekend. You are so generous with your knowledge and I passed this on to my Guild today and encouraged members to take your follow up workshop next month - we had a great response. I am so looking forward to yet more colour fun and another class with you.

Thank you Cameron for a wonderful and informative workshop, Hands On Color. Your teaching methods are warm and accessible. Your passion for color and enthusastic teaching made a big difference in my understanding of color theory. I haven't stopped thinking about color combinations since the workshop! My brain is bursting with ideas. It has been a pleasure taking your workshop!

Karen York, Wisconsin

I really enjoyed your Hands on Color workshop. I think it was the most useful workshop our guild has ever had, in that it has such a practical application. I plan to use the color blankets to decide what to do with various painted warps that have been resting in my stash for several years. Perhaps now I can put them together with yarns of comparable values so they actually work the way I envisioned. Thanks for all the help. And thanks for being so stalwart as to fly into the face of the storm. I'm glad you got back home safe and sound.

Cameron was great in facilitating a workshop for my group of architecture students. She really helped them understand the method of weaving and how they might integrate it into their projects. She is so much fun to work with and has a real passion and talent for experimenting with alternate types of weaving which you could see through her work and the environment within which she works. Thank you Cameron and we look forward to having you at Woodbury University to see the students' final projects!

Diane Crane, Siren, Wisconsin

Your Ready, Sett, Go class at the Midwest Weavers Conference was great. I have always made excuses for not sampling and after your class, have now gotten out a small loom to sample for my next project...It is always so inspiring to be with other weavers and to have a teacher like you to present such helpful information in such an encouraging way is wonderful. I think you are one of the most balanced left brain / right brain people I've ever met! So creative, but so understanding of the process. Thank you so much.

Cameron, thank you for the wonderful job that you did at our most recent North American Sales & Marketing Conference. Your "Hands on Color" Workshop was enthusiastically received by the sales and marketing team. This workshop helped us to identify ways to become better sales people and more valuable consultants to our customers. It helped us to appreciate not only the color components but the color relationships - and we all loved working with the color wheel! You are an incredibly talented teacher and an amazing lady. I look forward to adding you to our agenda again for future Sales & Marketing Conferences as I find your knowledge incredibly valuable to our company and to our sales team. Thank you again for such a phenomenal workshop!

I took Cameron's Designs from Nature class at the Midwest Weavers Conference in 2011 and it changed the way I see. The applied color theory, the wrappings, Cameron's openness to questions, the entire 3 days really deepened and broadened my use of color and attention to design. This was the high point of the conference for me!
