FiberWorks in Tulsa - August 2017

What a challenging and fun experience jurying FiberWorks 2017, a statewide exhibition organized annually by the Fiber Artists of Oklahoma. My responsibility as a juror was to "honor quality workmanship and original design...and to educate the public...by presenting a wide range of media, techniques and fiber tradtions."  I was invited to Tulsa for the opening weekend where I gave a lecture and a gallery walkthough - and so enjoyed the entire experience. Below is a picture with the hard-working and talented Lyn Lucas, co-chair  of FiberWorks 2017, plus one of opening night at the Hardesty Arts Center.  The Brady Arts District in Tulsa totally ROCKS, especially during their First Friday Art Crawl.
