A Perfect Pairing - February 2015

A trip to Patagonia this month led to the unlikely but perfect pairing of REI and Sulka. I've been saving a box of pristine (and now vintage) Sulka silk dress socks that belonged to my grandfather Whitney. The Patagonia trip involved lots of hiking and I needed some liners. So the perfect pairing was born - Sulka silk liners and REI wool!

Hopefully Whitney would have approved of the pairing – he was an adventurous fellow who enjoyed travel and new experiences. He never made it to Patagonia – Europe and Hawaii were more his beat, but now at least his socks have made the journey! Here are some of the places his socks have been...
