Colorful Christmas - December 2014

Christmas was bright and festive. Our family created fabric fan ornaments inspired by fans Kaffe Fasset and Brandon Mably made for a Christmas tree at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. A clever use of beautiful fabric scraps, thank you Brandon for the great idea!  Plus a lovely gift from my husband who knows I can never have too many books about color. The Brilliant History of Color in Art by Victoria Finlay is a fun and informative read structured around the colors of paint. I've gotten as far as Part Three/ Modern Colors   "Mauve: Chemistry Project Gone Wrong"
