Granny Squared - May 2013

May2013-1

As I traveled around this month working with yarn stores on next season's collections, regular updates came my way on the amazing textile project going on in my own neighborhood. What an undertaking.

The Granny Squared Project, the brainchild of Yarn Bombing Los Angeles, is a

noisy

colorful

joyful

immense

and simply wonderful installation

on the façade of the Craft and Folk Art Museum - within walking distance of my house. You can see lots of photographs on the YBLA website, HERE.      I borrowed some images as a teaser!

If you live anywhere within driving distance,  Granny Squared is worth a trip. The installation is up for only 1 more month, and then the CAFAM façade must...revert...back...to...normal.
